18. “At such moments I don’t think about all the misery, but about the beauty that still remains. This is where Mother and I differ greatly. Her advice in the face of melancholy is: ‘Think about the suffering in the world and be thankful you’re not part of it.’ My advice is: ‘Go outside, to the country, enjoy the sun and all nature has to offer. Go outside and try to recapture the happiness within yourself; think of all the beauty in yourself and in everything around you and be happy. I don’t think Mother’s advice can be right, because what are you supposed to do if you become part of the suffering? You’d be completely lost. On the contrary, beauty remains, even in misfortune. If you just look for it, you discover more and more happiness and regain your balance. A person who’s happy will make others happy; a person who has courage and faith will never die in misery!” ― Anne Frank

These are some of the best quotes by the greatest philosophers and great people that have experienced this world and I must say, greater knowledge are imbibed in each if this quotes.I particularly like the one that talks about every moment spent angry is 60 seconds of happiness lost. Happiness is an action, a feeling and thankfully every individual own keys to their happiness. Thanks

  3. How very nice. I’ve have never seen a website with such a positive message.  I read all of them and like this one in particular…“For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson.  This one speaks to me.  It states very clearly that your happiness is really up to you and no one else.

I am a firm believer in positive thinking.  I wake up in the morning and I am already of a positive mind and thank goodness I usually go to bed with a positive outlook, certainly that tomorrow will be better than today was.

Thanks for helping me start my day off to a positive start. I’ve book marked your page for future reference.

    1. I am glad that you found my site positive! I am trying to give my audience a little peace of mind, in this sometimes crazy world that we live in! Many blessings to you!

  4. Hello Claudia, I couldn’t help but notice Anne Frank’s white in this post. Apart from it being the longest, she is always one of my favourite. Like you said children have innocent happiness and this is due to the fact that they don’t have reasons to think about any bad stuff, we do the thinking for them, we go through a lot and so we must try to look over those things and make ourselves happy. Like Anne said, only a happy person can make others happy. Greta inspirational post here.

    1. Glad that you enjoyed the post – and yes the Anne Frank quote is my favorite, she was filled with such wisdom! Many blessings to you!

  5. Hello Claudia, you just pasted a very big smile on my face. I find myself relaxed while reading through these quotes. Personally I love Oprah Winfrey and Anne Frank’s quote. I’ve come to understand that happiness lies  majorly in the mind of an individual and not in the society. I look forward to more of such mind elevating post, thank you so much.

    1. You are very welcome, Dane. I am just happy that I was able to be a part of your day, today. Many blessings to you and your loved ones!

  6. Nice list of quotes. I enjoyed watching the video. They are so beautiful and playful. I’m a really big animal lover so I had to watch it. Watching those types of videos really makes me smile and lifts my spirits. To me, happiness is a decision. We all have issues and struggles, some great and some small. But rather than sit and focus on those things, I choose instead to focus on what I have available to me daily. The hardest part was learning not to dwell on past mistakes and hurts, but to deliberately direct my thoughts all the good I have now. That is helping me a lot.

    1. Focus – yes! Choosing what to focus on, and keeping it positive surely can be difficult at times, but for me, that is where faith helps – which is of course not for everyone. Thank you for stopping by! Blessings!

  7. Great collection Claudia, My favorite one is: “Be true to who you are! Don’t sit around waiting for approval, life is too short…DO what makes you happy!” I feel really when i see some people hang there happiness base on what people thinks and say about them. Well, on the long run you might make a good number of friends, but then you might be living a fake life as well.
Thanks for this post Claudia, it’s worth sharing.

    1. thank you, Jordan – yeah, I hear you. I am more a person who prefers a select group of real friends, that may be small, but who accept me, as I am, and have my best in mind – just like I have theirs. Blessings!
