Are you impatient? I know, I am from time to time, and I am sure you are as well. Not only because we are getting used to a culture of instant gratification, but also because we want to achieve things, better ourselves, for not only ourselves but for our family and community. However, being patient is an important skill, it is important because many successes take time to produce a long-lasting result, even if others promise you instant success – I am sorry to tell you, but anyone who is making these promises to you, is lying to you!

    I used to be impatient and as I grow old I’m doing better, but from time to time I get impatient again.

    I found your article on the internet and I think it’s a good idea to write down some of these quotes to help me to calm down whenever I feel I’m getting impatient again.

    It is normal to get stuck trying to get things done as soon as possible. Impatience, I think, is one bad tool that I believe has led people into such dangers as untimely death, loss of opportunities and depression. It pays to wait.

    From the compiled list, I like Jim GenoveseIf’s quote that read “If you think everything is going too slow, the problem is you think everything should go too fast.” So true it is that everything cannot move at the pace we desire them to at every moment. Sometimes we just have to let go of our nerves and let the time do its job.

  3. These are all really great quotes, thank you for sharing. Being patient is very hard in our society where everything is so stimulating, we just don’t feel like waiting for anything anymore. It needs to be now. I’ve also noticed people losing patience in just day-to-day conversations. Nobody listens and is just thinking what they are going to say next, and then cutting the person off or asking a question about something else. We all need to be more patient with each other. My favorite quote from all of these is Kaiden Blake quote on being the right moment instead of waiting for it. Thanks again for sharing!

I have been studying the power of mindful listening, and it blows my mind of how many people not only not pay attention when listening to someone, but also when reading, such as reading emails.   5. Patience is a virtue which I seem too impatient to attain, especially with ADD. I read some of your listed quotes, and I was inspired to want to read more. They definitely make me wonder what more you have to offer on impatience and on other topics you cover. Very well designed web site!

When it comes to ADD, I highly recommend that you try out mindfulness, which works better than meditation, due to the fact that you do not have to sit down and be still for a while.
