No matter which path we had choose to take yesterday, every day we have the opportunity to make new choices, to explore and choose a new path that fits our main goals, even if it seems impossible or difficult. To inspire you to take a chance and choose differently from now on, I have collected 48 quotes to motivate you to reach for the greatness, and potential that I know is within you, within all of us.

Choosing A New Path Today – Overcoming Guilt

Have you ever wished you would have chosen better?

Sometimes, after having a bad mental or physical week, I am filled with regret about the tasks that I have not done, or the people I have not been able to comfort as they are going through their own pain. The guilt of that used to become so strong, like a cage, as I wallowed in the should have’s, rather than focusing on what I could do today to move forward, to be a better, more productive version of myself. Have you ever felt that way?

Breaking this confining pattern happened slowly over time – by focusing on the reasons behind my goals,  and by using techniques such as mindfulness, affirmations, and meditation to reshape my thinking. When I began to show up every day with the thought that each day holds infinite possibilities, and chances of learning and growing, this self-imposed prison disappeared, slowly but steadily.

Resources To Assist You On Your Journey

These same tools are of course available to you at any point as well.

You can explore the video of affirmations below the quotes, created by the very popular YouTube channel YouAreCreators, and use them in your daily life, as I have successfully done, or write and record your own.

One of my favorite (and free) apps for mindfulness meditation is called Deep Meditate and is available on Android.

As a daily gratitude journal, I highly recommend the app Gratitude: Personal Growth And Affirmation Journal, also available on Android

If you are new to mindfulness but would love to learn more, I suggest you start with the book Peace is Every Step by Thich Nhat Hanh, which is a gentle and warm book that is easy to follow along, with real-life applications and examples on how to use mindfulness in your day-to-day life.

  1. I’ve really enjoyed reading this post, I love reading things that give me some inspiration, and these quotes do just that, I also love to use them in conversations whenever they are appropriate or if I get the opportunity to use them, the problem is, I can’t always remember them, I have heard loads of them over the years, some very good ones, in fact, it’s difficult to choose which is my favourite, however there is one that is a real contender which is “I may not agree with what you have to say, but I will defend with my life your right to say it” – Voltair, thank you for sharing this post.
