If you are having a hard time with describing the details, take the next meal that you have, in total mindful awareness, and do nothing but eat, and be present with the space that you are occupying at that moment.
The concept of mindful eating starts in preparation. Whether you are heating up something in the microwave, or are cooking an elaborate meal for family and friends, being truly present with each aspect of preparation, consumption, and cleaning up, can be a transformational experience. From this point, it is easy to step into a gratitude practice as it is so much easier to be grateful for what you are aware of.
