Time To Hit The Pause Button!
After a considerably slower 2020, many of us have decided to cram a lot more action and activities into 2021, even if in some aspects not much has changed since the last year. I totally get that though, there is a need to move forward and to do something different now, and working toward goals that are important to you (and maybe have been set aside due to the pandemic and other turmoil last year) is on your mind.
However, today, I want to remind you to slow down. In today’s podcast, I make a case for how slowing down just a little can assist you in manifesting the life of your dreams. Yes, of course, you should take action, but there are also benefits in hitting the pause button every once in a while.

Why it is vital to slow down, rather than to speed up, to manifest your goals and abundance.
While action has its place, actually it a considerable part in the building and continuation of consistent success, taking as many actions and as fast as you can possibly pack into your day is somewhat counterproductive. There are the obvious reasons, like working yourself to the point of burnout, but lets set that aside for a moment, and consider this:
By speeding up your actions and activities, you are missing out on the many opportunities, that slowing down has to offer.
Let me tell you more:
Make Space For Intuitive Guidance
- if you slow down – just a little, and make some breathing room, you allow space for the sparks of inspiration and intuitive guidance that the Universe is more than willing to give you. Often we have to be hit by what seems like a not so subtle brick before we are willing to listen to what we are supposed to learn on our journey, but if you give yourself time and space to check in with your spiritual guidance system regularly, you can listen to the quiet hunches and ideas that are coming your way all of the time.
Take Time To Reflect On Your Reasons
- in order to maintain a consistent ability and desire to keep on moving forward, one has to not only have a compelling reason to want to achieve (or many reasons, tied to one goal, which is even better), but one has to continue to bring that reason into your mind’s eye. Remembering, reflecting, and visualizing the reason (not always just the result) motivates, and gets you through those times where instead of results you receive only lessons. You do not have to take my word for this one, many popular productivity experts like Tony Robbins, and the author of The 12 Week Year, Brian P. Moran mention this truth regularly in their books and talks
Find Enjoyment In The Journey
“You have to be able to slow down enough to switch your focus away from all the ways things could be better, to know how good they already are.”
― Katherine Ellison
- Pausing to enjoy the journey of getting from where you are right now, to where you want to be, allows you to experience the joy and happiness that is right in front of you. Focusing on those positive moments, keeps your outlook on the sunny side, while naturally attracting more of that what you appreciate by activating the powers of Law of Attraction. So take moments in every day to pause and appreciate the little pieces of your now, that is building you into the person you need to be, to be ready for the success you are looking for
Reflect On Your Wins As Well As The Lessons
- Reflecting on your wins, as well as lessons regular reflection has two important positive outcomes. First, it gives you a chance to truly appreciate how far you have come, which is an important aspect of manifesting your desires, and second, it gives you a chance to turn your obstacles into lessons you can learn from, and in that way, help you grow toward your goal. There is seldom a situation from which you can not pull either one of these aspects if you only take a moment to reflect.
Again, I am at no point saying that actions do not have their place in manifesting abundance, but with a little bit of pause and a little bit more reflective pace, one can take much more deliberate actions, which will help get you the results a lot faster than trying to cram in as many actions as you can within a short period of time.
