Motivational Quote of the Day:
The best way to succeed is to double your failure rate.
– Thomas J. Watson
One of the best gifts you can give yourself and your children is the permission to fail. Making mistakes, stumbling along the road toward your goals, will allow you to grow stronger and more steady much faster than if the road in front of you had no obstacles, or stumbling blocks at all. Why? Because, if you allow it, and if you are willing to look for it, each failure within holds a lesson, even if that lesson is nothing but a nudge to never do that again.
If we encourage our children to see failures as opportunities to study and learn, we can teach them to become those stronger and more resilient individuals, that we are now struggling to become. Perfectionism is not only reaching for the unattainable, but it is also something that will most likely lead to defeat and procrastination.
