The 5 Simple Steps To Success

  1. Create a Vision
  2. Raise your standards to support your vision
  3. Create and follow through on supporting daily, weekly, and monthly rituals that are based on the new, better, and higher standards you chose for yourself.
  4. Celebrate your achievements
  5. Do it again.

Simple – not easy, but possible, if you apply yourself! Here are some questions you can ponder that can flesh out the necessary details to achieve the vision you have for yourself.

"Ask better questions!" Tony Robbins

To assist you on your path to success, I have compiled several questions to contemplate. Make them a part of your Miracle Morning or Hour of Power!

We live up to who we believe we are

  • What believes about myself are empowering?
  • What believes about myself are limiting?
  • When did you decide to accept that limitation? And why?
  • What believes do I want to have about myself?
  • How can I start believing those beliefs about myself? What action can I take right now?

There is a basic human need for consistency to act according to how we define ourselves

  • What are the standards in every aspect of your life?
  • What do you want the standards in those areas to be?
  • What actions can you take today, to raise your standard?
  • What are your new musts?
  • How can you define your new standards and musts so that they are a compelling goal? Use powerful, descriptive language to support your expanded identity.
  • How can you create an environment that reinforces those musts? Examples are – reminders, routines, habits, rituals, physical environment, who you are hanging out with

Raise Your Standard!

Important to remember:

Rituals are simply stated, actions you take consistently = they are the true power for change

  • What rituals can you put into place, that help you be consistent with your new beliefs and standards you have chosen?
  • What are the reasons behind your desire to change? Write an affirmative statement containing those reasons! (A great book that talks about the power of using affirmations properly – among many other things – is The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod)
  • What habits that you have right now are useful to your new chosen belief?
  • What additional habits can you attach to these already established habits that raise your game even more?
  • What habits that you have right now are not useful to your new chosen belief?
  • What steps can you take right now to eliminate them? How can you make it harder for yourself to follow through on those habits? (for example, if you like to sleep in, move your alarm clock out of your reach in the morning, so that you have to get up out of bed to turn it on, or only buy healthy snacks, so that you are not even tempted to eat those unhealthy snacks you are trying to eliminate)

Work Ethics

  • What are you expecting of yourself?
  • How can you improve your performance today, and every day – consistently?
  • Who can you look up to as a role model to push you to the next level? How can you maximize your exposure to them?
  • Who is hindering your success? How can you lower your exposure to them?
  • What time-wasters can you eliminate out of your life?
  • How would your life look like, if you would step up and increase your work ethic by 10 percent, 20 percent?
  • Who are the top performers in your field?
  • What habits do the top performers in your field have, that you don’t have yet?

  • How can you deliver your best consistently to those who have put their trust into your service or product?
  • How can you assist someone this month, this year, to reach their potential, by sharing your experiences with them?
  • How can you contribute to your community at some level to make it a better place? Community does not always have to mean a physical location, it can be your spiritual community, a community of people that have something in common with you – for example, if you are disabled, how can you help other disabled people reach their own level of success or the care and dignity they deserve? Think outside of the box.

  1. So many people need inspiration in their lives and it’s important to have a positive outlook in my life. So many obstacles may be placed in our path from limitations at a job to bills to even starting up a blog here. What’s important is to press forward and know that you are capable of achieving things. These quotes help give that push toward success. Great post!

  2. Thank you for this motivational writing. You’re right, its so important to take action, in addition to reading motivational stuff. I take lots of actions every day and that helps a lot. When I was new to self-help kind of quotes and books, I tended to consume a lot of information and get a buzz, but I wasn’t aware yet how to integrate it.

A program like Wealthy Affiliate introduced me to actions I could do to integrate all that stuff into my life. It takes actions to take those ideas and make them into your life. Great article, very well written. I like your nice header image, and the neat table of contents.

Sometimes when people get into self-help they take all the ideas and turn them into ways to beat themselves up more. Its important to remember that the goal is to live a happier, healthier life, inside and out. So that also means learning to like yourself and have more encouraging self talk.

Exactly. While it is good to know one’s own faults, in order to improve upon them, beating oneself up, does no one any good. Glad that you enjoyed my content and my site! And yes, Wealthy Affiliate is the best, when it comes to learning how to build blogs (like this one). I have been hosting all of my sites with them for a while now, and I love it.  Blessings!

  3. These are really great and inspirational quotes. As we all know the road to success isn’t easy.If it was everyone would be successful. There are sacrifices that one needs to make in order to achieve their goal.Reading these quotes definitely helps one stay motivated, will definitely be sharing this website with my friends.

    Thank you

  4. Some very thought provoking questions you have put together here. I think that it is very important that one gets inspired and if it’s by reading the wisdom that this great people have said, then I must thank you. I recognise some of awesome people. Tha k you for all this guidelines to success and I will make sure to put them into action. Cheers!

  5. Tha KS for sharing this wonderful post. Reading through these quotes made me realize some things i have been neglecting about about myself. I realized I don’t really appreciate the little success I attain just the big ones are the ones I celebrate. And by doing that I miss out on the fact that I’m not a loser. From now on I’ll celebrate my little success and be the best of who I am. Thank you so much.

You are very welcome Chloe! It is so important to celebrate the successes along the way! One of the ways that I have been able to do that more often is beginning to practice mindfulness. One of the best books on that subject is Peace is Every Step by Thich Nhat Hanh. Blessings!

  6. We all need motivational quotes to help us grow, to keep us moving and to help us not loose our focus. I really enjoyed reading through these quotes, they are really inspiring and they are educating. The biggest problem most people have with quotes Is that just reading without implementing. The real impact of motivational quotes can only be achieved by using the content of the quote to affect your mode of thinking.

One last thing, not all quote is meant for you, read all, take yours and do away with the unnecessary to you. Sharing this article I a really nice idea, thanks.

I used to be really bad about not implementing what I read, which held me back for way too long. That is one of the main reasons, why I keep on telling people to take actions after reading one of my posts, or the many awesome self-help books that are out there. Blessings!

  7. I think I need to stress here the importance of taking action when you see an uplifting article like this one. I like that post about teamwork saying that common people can do uncommon things together. I have seen many times when people do come together and achieve good things and that’s another reason to stress on unity. Overall, your post was educative and very inspiring too.
